Genuine and now rare Australian Army WW2 half button front other ranks airtex cotton combat shirt as used in the Pacific. The shirt has our old Movie Guns ownership stamp. The date is no longer visible but other shirts that we have had in this lot were all dated 1944. Good used condition. Size appears to be large with around 44 inch chest. There is one small hole in one sleeve. (See photos) These shirts generally started life in khaki drill colour and were later dyed by the troops in the field. My father told me that they were issued dye on the troop ship on the way to New Guinea and when the issue ran out the remaining soldiers were told to dye their shirts in the tea in their billy cans. The item in the photo is the item you receive. Scroll down for more photo description.
