Scarce British made WW2 Royal Navy Admiralty contract P1907 Enfield 18" 303 bayonet with scabbard for use with the RN issue Lanchester SMG and No1 Mk3 .303 SMLE rifles. Marked "WSC" (Wilkinson Sword Company) and strangely marked with the dispersal (secret) code of S294 which was the code for the maker Wilkinson Sword Company (so why put WSC on the ricasso and let the enemy know??). Dated 11-43. Only about 130,000 were made in Britain during WW2 and only about 38,000 with the sandblasted blade which this one has. Excellent as issued condition with no re-furbishment dates. Issued for use with No1Mk3 rifles in service and also the Lanchester 9mm Sub Machine Gun. The bayonet in the photo is the bayonet you receive. See photos for main condition description.
