Original (not reproduction) US Marine Corps Vietnam War period M1 helmet with liner. The liner was manufactured by Firestone and has their logo in the crown together with the date 62 (1962) indicating the year of the mold manufacture. The neckband has a 1962 contract number. The helmet has heat stamp number M-303A which indicates the manufacturer McCord Radiators from 1951 to 1958. Complete with original rare Mitchell pattern camo cover from the first contract run for these covers for the USMC in 1959. Marked "Cover, Helmet, Camouflage Marine Corps Supply Activity. Proj. No5501 DTD 4-2-59 8415-261-6833. Also has the original liner leather chinstrap. Very good used condition. The helmet in the photos is the helmet you receive. See photos for further description.
