US M1 Bayonet with M7 scabbard to fit the Springfield & Garand rifles. This bayonet was made by Utica Cutlery Company and bearing their initials 'U.C.' on the ricasso. Some slight sharpening of the blade. NOTE: The locking lugs on the top of the scabbard locket have been removed and this often was done in the field by soldiers to enable quicker removal of the bayonet in combat situations.
