SCABBARD ONLY - Original and scarce WW2 issue plastic scabbard for the M1917 bayonet. It was introduced to replace the older WW1 leather scabbard. Has the US Flaming Bomb with M1917 marked beneath. Also marked with B-N/1 beneath the belt hooks. This is different to the Vietnam scabbards which have US M-1917 and the manufacturers initials. (See Coles US Military Knives Book 3 Page 31). Good used condition. NOTE: The scabbard has the tip damaged and a small part missing but does not interfere with the bayonet use. When the bayonet is in the scabbard the point of the bayonet does not protrude from the scabbard. The scabbard in the photo is the scabbard you receive. Scroll down for more photo description.
