A pair of scarce original military re-furbished US M1 Springfield/Garand Bayonet to fit the Italian designed Beretta BM59 rifle. Larger muzzle ring with inside diameter of approx. 22mm (.872 inches) for BM59 compensator. Consecutive rack numbers 88 & 89. Both bayonets were originally US WW2 M1942 bayonets with 16 inch blades. One is made by Union Fork and Hoe and bearing their initials 'UFH' on the ricasso and dated 1943 and the other was made by Pal Blade & Tool Company (PAL) and dated 1942. During WW2 they were re-furbished and cut down to 10 inch length blades. Excellent used condition. The bayonets were later fitted with a new cross guard with a larger muzzle ring to fit the post war Beretta BM59 rifle. No scabbards. The bayonets in the photo are the bayonets you receive.
