Product Description

Original WW2 1942 pattern jacket without patch (bellows) pockets and front waist band. Army Size 78. Height 5'9" to 5'10". Regular. 32" Waist. Chest 38 inches. Unusual late production of 1962 when Battle Dress was standard issue. Made by C.G.C.F (Commonwealth Govt Clothing Factory). May have been for Cadet units. Excellent condition with one tiny moth hole near the hem otherwise it  appears to have been unissued. Missing the military buttons which occurred during a period when any military clothing sold as surplus had to have any military type buttons removed. Fortunately this policy did not last permanently. This pattern jacket was also used by the Australian contingent of the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces stationed in Japan from 1946 to 1951 and were also issued to Australian troops serving in the Korean War.
