Original Vietnam period US G.I. issue trifold shovel complete with vinyl carrier. This is heavy duty quality and not the cheaper repro items seen around in camping shops. Originally designed for US Airborne troops. First Gulf War period manufactured by US military contractor "Ames" and dated 1975. Ames also made US GI entrenching tools in WW2.
